This tower at the Steam Museum dominates the skyline in my part of West London and is a great landmark. When we see it, we know we're almost home.
Kew Bridge Steam Museum forms part of the vista from our bedroom window and from our front door.
It has featured on this blog a few times and can be seen from all around my neighbourhood and will in all likelihood feature in pretty much any photo as seen in this selection.

I love landmarks like that ... I call them/think of them as my personal touchstones. Sadly every time I head into lower Manhattan for jury duty (thankfully only every 2-4 yrs) I come out of the Franklin St subway and still look up for the World Trade Center which I used as an indicator of south/downtown so I knew which direction to walk to get to Foley Sq.
Rob, what wonderful photos of your neighourhood and "touchstone"(I love this word). The colours and composition in your photos are stunning. Hope things are going better. Blessings and smiles
Hey, I was watching The Beatles 'Hard Days Night' on TVO last night and this very location featured in the movie. It was at the part where Grandfather had a word with Ringo in the Tea Room to go out and experience the world... he ended up talkin to a young lad (not before a tyre bounced over him)... I noticed the tower from the museum right away... no tower blocks or condos though - what was the movie set in? 1964? Ian :-)

Why Blog
I started this blog/journal when my Fabulous Other Half was transferred to Toronto, an unexpected, but appreciated destination. Then unexpectedly we find ourselves back in the UK. So our Canadian Inukshuk Adventure is now an Inukshuk Euro Adventure. Join me friends old and new and share my experiences of settling once again into UK life - with a few trips to the continent no doubt.

What a fantastic landmark. I am glad to see you are able to visit your kittens. I would be heartbroken to be apart from my furry family.
An interesting place to live. Settling down will be easier under these environment and lovely skies.

Hey Ian - No way? How cool is that. I'll have to look out for that next time I see the film.
Freud would like a word, Rob.
